This is another in my recent series of reclaimed pallet wood furniture- using old wood for beautiful home styling.
This superbly attractive, solid reclaimed Pine wood bookcase is designed with shelves for smaller vintage or paperback books(up to 21cm) and also for larger books too.
SIZES
The standard size units are usually 34cm wide and 16cm deep with several height options, but i do have some deeper options listed too now.
The standard height options measure:
5shelf 128cm
4shelf 105cm
3 shelf 83cm
2 shelf 61cm
The wood is usually 20mm thick but thicker timber maybe used on larger, deeper units. The unit is jointed, glued and nailed for a very solid construction.
I can also offer 24cm deep size options too with heights of 128cm and 177cm.

FINISH
The timber has been sanded smooth to remove any splinters and the rough sawn texture of recycled pallet wood.
It is painted with high quality low VOC emulsion, sanded then beeswax applied to give a satin finish that is water resistant.
When you run your hand over the surface it feels smooth, but still has the character with nail holes, age distressing and grain texture.
COLOUR
The popular colours for this item are; white, cream and grey, but I do love it in French turquoise.
I have added several popular paint colour options, but if you need to match decor then a custom paint is available for a small charge. The paint finish is slightly distressed and silky smooth.

Custom and personalised orders
I am always receiving requests for customised work so I do welcome a challenge 😀 If you would like something made to your specs then just ask, i would love to see your idea.
Commonly people ask for shelves, bookcases or cabinets to be a little larger, in a special colour, unpainted or with different accessories.
Custom orders usually take a little longer to make and cost a little extra so please ask for a quote.
Sizing details
Sizes are quoted in metric, usually cm.
Where sizes are referred to as small, medium and large it would be the medium or regular size that is most popular or commonly purchased.
Sometimes we have to limit the size of larger items to 115cm in length due to the cost of delivery, especially when it is to be sent outside the UK. If you would like an item made larger than this we would have to confirm the delivery cost for you.
Allow a slight variation in sizes of recycled timber crafts due to the nature and availability of wood used.
The shipping price seems a little high, why is that?
Cost of delivery is calculated on the parcels volumetric weight, which is its measurements multiplied together divided by 5000. Large parcels will then have a much higher cost compared to smaller ones.
Also, the price includes the cost of the high quality recycled packaging that I use to avoid damaged items.
We can offer discounts for shipping when you buy more than one item as often the volume can be condensed by packing then together.

I love this bookcase. It fits in a corner of my tiny hall without taking up too much space, but stores a good number of books.
