This black retro Atomic cabinet is the smaller version of my top selling larger design.
First made in 2012, this is my superb retro design record cabinet with its chrome metallic detail and solid oak. Since 2012, I have made and sold 100s of them for people across the world 😀
It is the perfect design for storing your precious vinyl record collection, or maybe as a drinks cabinet.
The cabinet is made from 18mm E1 grade MDF board and features;
*Solid 27mm Hardwood top - natural oil
*Heavy Duty Hafele recessed soft-close cabinet hinges
*Solid beech wood tapered legs
*Metal nickel oval door knobs
The MDF unit is jointed, screw and glued for strength. It is painted satin Blackjack on doors, under and sides, but left natural inside. 6mm hardwood ply back. The interior can be painted on request for a small charge.
Solid Oak 27mm top which is protected with 5 coats of dark walnut oil, 2 hours drying between each, then polished to enhance its natural beauty. Stave width 40mm
The doors have a stunning chrome disc design feature which sets this apart from anything found on the high street. This record sleeve motif repeats across the face using the most expensive and highest quality mettalic vinyls. Soft close door pistons are now fitted for a luxury feel when in use.
A beautiful quality feature is the solid Beech wood 40mm legs with brass ferules. These come packed separately inside and screw to the plates mounted underneath.
The unit measures 41cm deep and stands 83cm high with 40cm legs (43cm is the cabinet height only) for units larger than 100cm, use my other listing:

The internal dimensions will be: 37cm high x 37cm deep.

CUSTOMISE- This cabinet can be customised in depth, height and can include plug holes, shelves and internal lighting. I also offer to match your decor with a custom paint option. Please ask for more details.
RECYCLED CONTENT- This cabinet uses oak boards made from reclaimed offcuts (staves) and my offcuts of these are used for the bottom skirt. E1 grade MDF eco board contains recycled timber sawdust compressed with wax or resin.
DELIVERY- prices are worked out on a volumetric weight and include a cost for packing. Layers of card and void fill packaging are used to case the unit in 4cm of protection all over.

Custom and personalised orders
I am always receiving requests for customised work so I do welcome a challenge 😀 If you would like something made to your specs then just ask, i would love to see your idea.
Commonly people ask for shelves, bookcases or cabinets to be a little larger, in a special colour, unpainted or with different accessories.
Custom orders usually take a little longer to make and cost a little extra so please ask for a quote.
Sizing details
Sizes are quoted in metric, usually cm.
Where sizes are referred to as small, medium and large it would be the medium or regular size that is most popular or commonly purchased.
Sometimes we have to limit the size of larger items to 115cm in length due to the cost of delivery, especially when it is to be sent outside the UK. If you would like an item made larger than this we would have to confirm the delivery cost for you.
Allow a slight variation in sizes of recycled timber crafts due to the nature and availability of wood used.
The shipping price seems a little high, why is that?
Cost of delivery is calculated on the parcels volumetric weight, which is its measurements multiplied together divided by 5000. Large parcels will then have a much higher cost compared to smaller ones.
Also, the price includes the cost of the high quality recycled packaging that I use to avoid damaged items.
We can offer discounts for shipping when you buy more than one item as often the volume can be condensed by packing then together.

Item poorly made for the price. Arrived with cracks in it and pieces separated from each other. Asked the seller for compensation or return but the seller offered to send a “repair” kit. Repair kit did not work and I am at a loss with a permanently damaged product with no reparations.
