This superb design was due to a custom request by Suzanne, a customer who wanted enough space inside to store her large CD collection.
The chessboard design and gold features work really well and gives a really opulent feel to the unit.
The cabinet is made from 18mm MDF board and features;
* Solid metal gold square handles and legs
*Heavy Duty Hafele metal drawer runners
*Round cabinet edges
*Gold matching drawer edges
*Soft close pistols on each drawer
* Painted matching interior
The MDF unit is jointed, screw and glued for strength. Notice the rolled edges at these joints: particular care is taken to make this look seamless, with many coats of paint, fine sanding and polishing.
It is painted on all surfaces with exception to the 6mm hardwood ply back.
The drawer chessboard design repeats across the face of each drawer front using the highest quality matt black laser cut vinyls. Each drawer holds 75CDs, in 3 rows of 25.
Soft close pistons are fitted behind each drawer for a more luxurious feel when in use.
The unit measures 37cm deep and 48cm wide and I have several options on the height(numberof drawers).
RECYCLED CONTENT- MDF board contains recycled timber sawdust compressed with wax or resin. Offcuts are used for shelving.
DELIVERY- prices are based on the larger 5or 6 drawer units with a weight of 30- 40kg. 2, 3 or 4 drawer units may cost less so please contact me to check if a discount code is available.
EU CHARGES AND DELAYS- New EU customs arrangements were effective since January 2021. Please check your own government website for custom import duties to be paid.

Custom and personalised orders
I am always receiving requests for customised work so I do welcome a challenge 😀 If you would like something made to your specs then just ask, i would love to see your idea.
Commonly people ask for shelves, bookcases or cabinets to be a little larger, in a special colour, unpainted or with different accessories.
Custom orders usually take a little longer to make and cost a little extra so please ask for a quote.
Sizing details
Sizes are quoted in metric, usually cm.
Where sizes are referred to as small, medium and large it would be the medium or regular size that is most popular or commonly purchased.
Sometimes we have to limit the size of larger items to 115cm in length due to the cost of delivery, especially when it is to be sent outside the UK. If you would like an item made larger than this we would have to confirm the delivery cost for you.
Allow a slight variation in sizes of recycled timber crafts due to the nature and availability of wood used.
The shipping price seems a little high, why is that?
Cost of delivery is calculated on the parcels volumetric weight, which is its measurements multiplied together divided by 5000. Large parcels will then have a much higher cost compared to smaller ones.
Also, the price includes the cost of the high quality recycled packaging that I use to avoid damaged items.
We can offer discounts for shipping when you buy more than one item as often the volume can be condensed by packing then together.
