I am a great lover of Vinyl. Cant beat it for quality, style, and a deep connection with the artist.
So, in 2012 i made this superb retro style record cabinet for myself, with its chrome metallic detail and solid oak. Since then I have made and sold 100s of them for people across the world 😀
The cabinet is made from 18mm MDF board and features;
*Solid 27mm Hardwood top and skirt
*Heavy Duty Hafele recessed soft-close cabinet hinges
*Solid Beech Wood tapered legs
*UK made metal leg anchor plates
*Solid metal nickel knobs
The MDF unit is jointed, screw and glued for strength. It is painted on doors, under and sides, but left natural inside. 6mm Beachwood ply back.
Solid Oak 27mm top and skirt which is protected with 5 coats of natural Danish oil, 2 hours drying between each, then polished to enhance its natural beauty. Stave width varies.
The doors have a futuristic metallic disc design feature which sets this apart from anything found on the high street. This record sleeve motif repeats across the face using the most expensive and highest quality chrome vinyls. Soft close pistons are now fitted for a luxury feel when in use.
Another quality feature is the solid Beachwood tapered legs, which have been made in the UK. These are also treated with danish oil, come packed separately inside and simply screw onto the ready mounted plates underneath.
Thr 3 leg size options available are: 20cm(short) , 30cm (standard on sizes 120cm and over), 40cm(available for 110cm and 120cm cabinets only)
The unit measures 41cm deep and stands 83cm high on 40cm legs (43cm is the cabinet height only) and I have several options on the width.

CUSTOMISE- This cabinet can be customised in depth, height and can include plug holes, shelves and internal lighting. I also offer to match your decor with a custom paint option. Please ask for more details.
RECYCLED CONTENT- This cabinet uses oak boards made from reclaimed offcuts (staves) and my offcuts of these are used for the bottom skirt. MDF board contains recycled timber sawdust compressed with wax or resin.
DELIVERY- prices are based on the 120cm cabinet weight of 45kg, so larger models delivered outside mainland UK may cost more than advertised due to the Volumetric weight (cubic dimensions). There maybe a discount code for smaller sizes but contact me first.
DELIVERY CHARGES AND DELAYS- New EU customs arrangements were effective since January 2021. Please check your own government website for custom import duties to be paid.

Custom and personalised orders
I am always receiving requests for customised work so I do welcome a challenge 😀 If you would like something made to your specs then just ask, i would love to see your idea.
Commonly people ask for shelves, bookcases or cabinets to be a little larger, in a special colour, unpainted or with different accessories.
Custom orders usually take a little longer to make and cost a little extra so please ask for a quote.
Sizing details
Sizes are quoted in metric, usually cm.
Where sizes are referred to as small, medium and large it would be the medium or regular size that is most popular or commonly purchased.
Sometimes we have to limit the size of larger items to 115cm in length due to the cost of delivery, especially when it is to be sent outside the UK. If you would like an item made larger than this we would have to confirm the delivery cost for you.
Allow a slight variation in sizes of recycled timber crafts due to the nature and availability of wood used.
The shipping price seems a little high, why is that?
Cost of delivery is calculated on the parcels volumetric weight, which is its measurements multiplied together divided by 5000. Large parcels will then have a much higher cost compared to smaller ones.
Also, the price includes the cost of the high quality recycled packaging that I use to avoid damaged items.
We can offer discounts for shipping when you buy more than one item as often the volume can be condensed by packing then together.
